It is important to stay healthy. If you find that you are suffering from the common problems that many women experience during pregnancy, you need to see your doctor and ask for help. It may be worth it to see if something can be done for you.
9 Weeks Pregnant: Common Signs and Symptoms
At 9 weeks pregnant, you may experience mood swings. It is normal for pregnant women to have mood swings during the first trimester. They are spurred by estrogen and progesterone fluctuations, which can affect the levels of mood-regulating chemicals called neurotransmitters in the brain. Also, the physical and emotional stressors of pregnancy, fatigue, and metabolism shifts can all contribute to your changing moods.
Your breasts become tender at this stage, bigger, and itchy. Your milk-producing glands are expanding and getting prepared to breastfeed your baby.
9 Weeks Pregnant – Baby’s Development
The embryonic tail of your 1.67-inch baby has disappeared, making way for a more human-like appearance.
At 9 weeks pregnant, your baby has started testing his joints by bending and wiggling the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles.
At week 9 of pregnancy, the baby’s heart is divided into four distinct chambers and valves are beginning to form. The nerves and muscles are growing fast, the intestines are lengthening, and tiny teeth have formed. Internal reproductive features such as testes and ovaries start to form, as well.

10 Weeks Pregnant – Common Signs & Symptoms
At 10 weeks pregnant, you feel tired as a result of the extra work your body is doing. It is producing more blood for your baby, and as a result, your blood pressure and blood sugar levels are lower. These activities can make you sleep all day.
You begin to have vivid, strange dreams. This can be blamed on hormones, which affect many organs and systems in the body, including the area of the brain that processes emotions.
If you notice you can’t fully empty your bladder, consult your doctor immediately. As your uterus grows inside your pelvis, it can become wedged between the pelvic bony structure and the bladder, causing urinary retention.
10 Weeks Pregnant – Baby’s Development
At week 10 of pregnancy, the embryo is now a fetus. The foundation for its brain, liver, kidneys, and intestines was established during the embryonic period, and these organs now start to develop rapidly and become functional parts of the body.
Your baby is 2 inches long. Its head is large, taking up half the length of its body, and the forehead is bulging.
The baby’s palate, or roof of its mouth, closes during this week. The toes and fingers are starting to grow nails.
10 Weeks Pregnant – Self-Care Tips
Improve your sleep pattern if you always feel fatigued.
Eat dinner 2 hours before bedtime to avoid indigestion and heartburn, which can keep you awake. Take a warm, relaxing shower.
Enjoy decaffeinated tea. Shut off your TV, laptop, and tablet at least 2 hours before bedtime. Exposure to these electronic devices suppresses the production of melanin, a hormone that helps prepare the body for rest.
